Story seems intriguing (I don’t know much about horse racing so I am finding it’s much bigger than I ever imagined.) I like Dermont Weld’s connection to horses that allows him to provide great training programs AND allow for “meeting the horse where he’s at” in terms of emotional health. He knew vintage crop wasn’t “happy”….So he fixed him.

I’m a lifelong Texas horseman. Why have I never heard of this amazing race?

LOVE your passion for this topic. It’s close to my heart as well (as we discussed with “Ruffian”). Thanks for writing and sharing with such emotion. It makes the journey intimate, first hand.
Amazing facts you threw out about the total purse. The triple crown combined doesn’t match the purse of The Cup! Incredible.

Keep writing what you know and love. it’s you all the way down the homestretch by 5 strides baby!!

    peace and positivity,

Eric, it is so gratifying that you have brought this epic story to us all. It is additionally wonderful that your book will soon be a major motion picture brought to the screen by the hand and heart of none other than Simon Wincer.
